Dear Resident, The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire is looking for your views on the Police and Crime Plan 2021. The Police and Crime Plan is the blueprint for policing in Leicestershire over the next four years, setting out ambitious safely goals to be met by the Chief Constable, his officers and staff. This is the chance for you, as residents, to have the opportunity to influence the way your local area is policed and help the Police and Crime Commissioner understand the issues that impact most on your lives. Has someone ever verbally abused you on public transport? Or stared at you in an intimidating way? Maybe they've even loitered around a train station or followed you off a bus? The Suzy Lamplugh Trust are asking people to take their two minute survey to have a direct impact on their work.The survey is for anyone who has experienced any unwanted behaviours - whether that be on a bus, train, tube, or taxi. This ranges from intimidatory staring, to verbal abuse, to cyber-flashing, to loitering, to sexual assault. The survey takes 2 minutes and directly impacts the policy and campaigning work on personal safety by The Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Applications Open Community Leadership Programme (Leicestershire Police)

Hello Sir or madam , Following the success of the first PCC’s Community Leadership Programme, which ran from December 2020 to March 2021, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) and the Violence Reduction Network (VRN) team are pleased to announce that funding has been agreed for a second cohort. Applications are now open for the next round of aspiring community leaders to take part in our three-month Community Leadership Programme, starting end of October 2021. The programme is open to all ages, although we are particularly interested to increase applications from those between the ages of 18 to 30.
