We went up north to stay in their cabin, and spent a day on Mackinac Island, which is a car-free island full of Victoriana, bicycles and horses and an absolutely lovely place to go and slow down after <a href=\"http://eldan.livejournal.com/71635.html\">İstanbul</a>.  In fact, I think that was one of the things we got really right with trip: after visiting each of the big bustling <a href=\"http://eldan.livejournal.com/71086.html\">cities</a> we had a few days in <a href=\"http://eldan.livejournal.com/71222.html\">a much quieter, slower place</a>, making for a nice balance overall.<br /><br />I'm still editing photos from this trip, but I took enough at Mackinac Island to make a separate set of them, and <a href=\"http://www.flickr.com/photos/eldan/sets/72157624661295547/\">those are all online now</a>.<br clear=\"all\" /></p><div class=\"rss2html-note\" style=\"float: right;\"><a href=\"http://rss.bloople.net/\" style=\"color: #000000;\">Powered by rss2html</a></div><div class=\"rss2html-note-clear\" style=\"clear: right; height: 0;\"></div>";
